Wrestling- Halloween and Surgery

We have had a busy last two months. Here are some pictures to get you updated. First Halloween, and then wrestling ended(the boys were sad about that!) and then we had a double tonsillectomy and adenoids surgery. But we did not get a two for one deal, we had to pay double, you try not to breath so they don't charge you for extra oxygen!!!

Ellie as a butterfly

The boys in the front row in there wrestling stance. They did so good and loved it. It's a hard sport they run so much for just warm up and do a ton of drills while running. It was really good for them, Owen is still a little young a got bored sometimes, but Colby loved it and could take anybody down any size!!
Ellie again!

These pictures are in the wrong order and I can not fix it! The bottom picture is before surgery and the top picture is after surgery. So far they have done really well, I guess there tonsils and adenoids were really bad!! The doctor could not believe how Colby was even breathing. I am glad it is over but it's the healing part that can be hard and they can only eat soft foods for a week and it's already gotten old eating the same thing and we are only in the second day. I hear the 3rd and 4Th day is the worst so I am prepared for a painful next couple of days!! I am proud of them they were very brave at the hospital, didn't cry once. Only Owen freaked out and screamed after he was waking up from the surgery he was pretty scared, hurting and out of it. They gave him medicine and calmed him down. Colby when he woke up was ready to get out of there. He kept standing up and saying get this thing(IV) out of my arm I want to go home. The nurses thought he was crazy cause he had no side effects and acted like it was any other day.
Owen loves his daddy look at the way he is looking at him!

Tagged!

Well, Tara has been telling me to respond to Ashlie's request to post, so I will post something.
I don't know why I am needing to post about myself, it is not like I keep my thoughts a secret, for those of you who know me know what I am talking about. I tell people what I think, and unfortunately, or fortunately (depends on your opinion) sometimes my opinions are not always pleasing to everyone. That is one reason that I won't ever be in politics... or should be.
The Rules:
*Link to the person who tagged you: My 'cousin in-law' Ashlie tagged me and Tara is making me do this.
*Post the rules on your blog:
*Write six random things about yourself.
*Tag six people and let each person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.
*Let your tagger know when your entry is up. (Don't forget to come back and tell me you completed this tag!)
1. I love my life. I have a great life! I have been a lucky guy, and couldn't have ever expected anything more. Having said that, I wouldn't have settled for less either, when I set my mind to doing something, I do it, except for #6. I owe all my blessings to the Lord.
2. I love being a dad, although it is not an easy job. My real dad wasn't around as I grew up, and I always told myself that I would be there for the children I bring into the world. I was really excited to have kids, and love watching them thinking about my childhood, and wanting the best for them.
3. I love America and the core beliefs that made it great (which are individual freedom in all their forms: economic, religious, political etc.). Ever since I was a child (and cried when I heard the song "I'm proud to be an American") I have felt a spiritual love for what America is, or was, or should be.
4. I love my wife. I am so thankful for her. She works so hard at being a perfect wife, and mother, but always feels inadequate. If there was one thing that I could do, it would be to convince her somehow, someway that she is perfect... for me, our kids and herself. I can honestly say that the grass is greenest on my side of the street when it comes to who I was lucky enough to marry. She is beautiful. Her cooking is awesome. She is a great mother. She forgives me for my stupid imperfections. She keeps the house clean... until we mess it up. I could go on. Really, she is awesome!
5. I love sports. I love playing them, I love watching them (mostly watching them now), I love watching my boys play them, and I can't wait to watch them play them as they grow up. I have been really suprised how intense I get watching Colby wrestle. I am definetly going to be the crazy dad on the sidelines trying to coach him at the top of my lungs while he is playing... I apologize in advance for those of you who will witness this... unless Colby or Owen is playing your son and in that case I hope he kicks your kids butt! No offense of course.
6. I am a Caffiene addict, seriously. I tried quitting a month or so ago, and couldn't do it. It was crazy, I really tried, but only made it 4 days. It's embarassing, but true. Any ideas on how to quit?

Dean Andal For Congress

DEAN ANDAL FOR CALIFORNIA CONGRESS
My Aunt Kari that lives in California, (who we don't see enough of) looks at our blog all the time to get updates. I have a ton of great memories with her and my other Aunt Lori!! I just want to dedicate this post to them and my Uncle Dean who is running for Congress in California. If you live where you can Vote for him I recommend it!!! You will not be disappointed with him being in Congress. Politics and Government is getting messy and away from the Constitution, which we shouldn't want. So if you want a good guy back in there just vote Dean Andal!!! Also I want to say he and my aunt have an amazing son Patrick, who is awesome at water polo. I have not seen him play but anyone who can play that sport is awesome! We miss him so much! When ever we go on family vacations with my 2 Aunts I end up laughing so hard my stomach hurts so bad. Here is to all the memories with those to crazy girls!!
If you would like to see what Dean is all about just go to---

Conference

Conference weekend is always a great time! When Kenny went to priesthood session instead of going out with a bunch of girls for dinner or whatever(probably cause I have 3 crazy kids to take care of now!!), the kids and I stayed home and had a movie night. The boys picked Transformers, Ellie is going to be a little tomboy cause she liked the movie just as much as the boys, but she dances when music plays on the movie and the boys just sit there. She always wants to be doing what the boys are doing! I hope everyone had a great weekend.

Stonehaven Dental and BYU is Awesome!!!

I have not posted for awhile and I am sure I have had things to post about, but no motivation to do it. I thought we finally needed an update or no one is ever going to look at our blog!! This week I was lucky to go get some dental work done. You probably thinking I am crazy, who is lucky when it comes to the dentist. I feel the same way until this week. I had to get a implant because I had to have a baby tooth pulled about 5 years ago and never had a tooth grow in it's place. I have always felt kind of white trash because of having a tooth missing. It was time to get brave and get it done, I was so scared too the reason why is, they put a screw in your jaw bone and then after it heals the can put a crown on top! ouch!! Stonehaven dental made the experience so great that I feel good about going to the dentist now. They put me out so I do not remember one thing about the whole day. I guess I was talking to everyone and I don't even remember, of course I am sore and it hurts but they took such great care of me. The people that work there are so nice and make you feel very comfortable and at ease. So thank you very much!! Kenny thought it was so funny I was so out of it he took some pictures of me on the way home, they are really ugly but I was so drugged up I don't care! Today we went to the BYU game and they are doing so awesome!! I love to watch college football and have always been a fan of BYU even when they were terrible. I have great memories when I was a little girl and my parents would have parties and hang a big sheet up to watch the game with a projector and when I got older my friend Sommer and her family would take me to the games(they had the best season ticket seats!!) I had such a great time with her we would make up songs to the score's when they would kill the team they were playing.
We took all the kids and before the game tailgated with Curtis and Carrie(Carrie's dad is the one who did my dental work). Carrie made the best food and it was great to hang out!! It rained a little when we got there so I brought coats and everything for the rain. But during the game it was sunny the whole time and very hot!! All grandma's that read this don't get mad cause I just didn't think of it, but I thought Ellie was not even in the sun, and tonight when giving her a bath I noticed she got a little sun on her head. Let's just say it is really white where her bow was at!! I feel terrible and I am usually on top of the sunscreen, it's not to bad, and did I mention how awesome BYU is doing go COUGARS!!!

Owen and his Gum

So I was in the kitchen doing the dishes and Owen comes in the house from the garage and says-- Mom I just got some gum from the garbage, not really listening I said oh ok. Thought about it for a minute and said WHAT!!! Owen then said-- no, look mom so I just got some gum from the garbage and I rolled it around in my hands to taste yummy again. So it's ok that I got it, cause rolling it in my hands makes it better.--- Gross!?!?! He also got it from the garbage that is in the garage! I told him to spit it out and not get gum out of the garbage if he wants gum that bad come and get a new piece from me that is wrapped and not already chewed!! This is just the day in the life of Owen!

Lot's Of Pictures

PICTURES 2008
So our friend Amanda took the kids pictures. They turned out better than I could have imagined she is an amazing photographer. Ellie is just so cute and happy, her eye's are so big in each one. Owen has a one of a kind smile and lips what more can I say?!?! Then there is Colby I never thought of him as a model just a sports player but watch out GQ he could model any day and take direction from the photographer!! I am just going to post as many pictures as I can there are just to many good ones!! If you would like to look at Amanda's company just go to http://amandasimages.blogspot.com/
