North Football Champions

I am so proud of my boy's. They are amazing football players. Colby plays quarterback and outside linebacker and Owen played defensive line and wide receiver sometimes. Their football team name was North Orem and we went undefeated this season 8-0. They only let 4 touchdowns be scored against them the whole season and scored over 20 points a game, until the championship game. This was an amazing game to watch! Spanish Fork came out to play and beat us, they played so good and our team had to work every single second of the game!! The final score was 7-6. The last play was the most amazing play! We were all screaming and jumping up and down, it was crazy. So, it was freezing cold and in the morning, Spanish Fork had the ball, there was about 10 seconds left in the game, and we were winning 7-6. They just needed a touchdown to win the game, their quarterback runs the ball (it was an amazing run) and the touchdown line is the 10 yard line. He is about to make it into the end zone when our guy does a shoe string tackle and stops him less than a foot away from the goal line. It was crazy and so exciting, Kenny ran up to Colby and Owen to give them a big hug for stopping them. Owen was so excited and Colby just broke down crying so hard, Kenny asked him if he was OK cause he thought he was hurt but he was just so glad it was over and they won. I was taping it and when I finally got down there to give him a hug he teared up again, Colby and Owen love this game so much. Colby had a lot of pressure on him this game cause of the positions he plays and they rely on him a lot. He thought they were going to lose, but they pulled it out. It was a great way to end the season on such a hard game. They worked so hard and deserve it!! Enjoy the video that I took, we are the black team and Spanish is the white. Try to put the video in full screen so you can see the tackle and where he landed. Our coach is the one who threw up his arms cause they didn't get it not because it was a touchdown. Spanish Forks coach was so emotional he got a little mad and threw his clipboard down, it was an intense game!! Kenny is in the back ground in a black just going crazy!

SWEET!!! I LOVE SPORTS FOR THE EXACT REASONS YOU JUST MENTIONED IN YOUR POSTS. ONE TEAMS HAS TEARS OF JOYS AND THE OTHER HAS TEARS OF SORROW, JUST LIKE WE EXPERIENCE IN LIFE. IT IS THE BEST CLASSROOM FOR DEALING WITH ADVERSITY AND OVERCOMING CHALLENGES. RIGGIN PLAYED THE SAME POSITIONS THIS YEAR (QB ASND OUTSIDE LINEBACKER), BUT WE ARE STILL IN FLAGS TILL NEXT YEAR. I AM JEALOUS YOU GUYS ARE ON PADS ALREADY. BUT YOU ARE RIGHT, AL LOT OF RESPONSIBILITY FOR THESE LITTLE GUYS, BUT WHEN THEY NOT ONLY HANDLE IT, BUT EXCEL AT IT, I DONT THINK THERE IS A BETTER FEELING AS A PARENT. GOOD TIME...AND WE DO NEED TO HOOK UP SOON SO KEEP IN TOUCH.--STONE
