Birthdays-Birthdays and more BIRTHDAYS!!!!
The last two months are so busy for us, because all of our birthdays are in April and May!! Kenny is April 9, I am April 28, Owen is May 1 and Colby is May 6. The boys had more parties and I am so DONE!! I am so over cake too, we had cake on their actual birthday then a family party and then a friend party. Down below is the cakes I made for there friend party. They love the movie cars and this is the cake they wanted. It took me a little over 6 Hours to decorate these cakes. Every year I make them a cake and think this year will be easier I know how to do it--Wrong, It's just as hard and takes just as long. Even though I am a perfectionist and always complain to Kenny that I messed up here and there on the cake, and ask my self WHY-WHY did I do this again??? I love doing it and probably won't stop doing it. Plus the kids think it's pretty cool. So once again I am glad the birthday season is over!!
Here are the cute little kids that went to the boys party. Notice they are all girls. One little cute boy named Laker came but did not get into the picture. We don't have any boys there age in the neighborhood they are all girls. Which I know Colby and Owen love cause they are just like there daddy and love to be surrounded by cute girls.
One more picture of the kids making a funny face. Notice Owen in both pictures is looking at his big brother to make sure he is doing exactly the same thing he is. We had there party at a really fun place called Backyard Adventures. They have about 10 playground hooked together indoors and a big jumping thing(I don't know what they are called) in the shape of a dinosaur with a slide coming out of it. We got the place all to ourselves for 2 hours. They had a Blast!!

Our Baby Ellie
Ellie's First Post
So I am finally doing a post just on Ellie since I have not done one. I feel like a total slacker by not having very many pictures of her on the blog. We just love her to death, she is a very good baby. Ellie eats well and sleeps all through the night since about 2 months old. I have to wake her up in the morning to feed her before going to the gym or she would sleep until 7:00. She loves to suck on her hands and we can never get them out of her mouth. Ellie will be 4 months old on the 15th. Last night before Kenny and I went to go watch a movie he went in to check on her and she had rolled over on to her back and was just playing.(She sleeps on her stomach none of my kids would sleep on there backs) I couldn't believe it, and tonight I went to go wake her up from her nap cause she was sleeping forever. Well she was awake sucking on her hand and totally moving around I could tell she wanted to roll over so I took off her blankets and just watched her little body push so hard to get over. She rolled over on the second try, I was just so amazed!!!! My little girl is already growing up so fast. She is so strong I think she will be crawling before we know it, she already has the motion down.
Ellie sucking on her hand. Kenny will be so proud she is wearing a headband. I never put one on her so people think she is a boy and Kenny is always telling me I need to get more headbands!!! He always makes sure she has something on her head--I wonder who's going to be doing the braids, curls and ponytails when she gets bigger??
When can always get good smiles and giggles out of Ellie. This is her and my mom, Grandma Sue.
I love this picture, because I love to kiss her little chubby checks. And plus Owen is making one of his many faces. Sometimes it's just so hard to look at the camera and smile, but I love it.

Monkey George and Haircuts
Owen loves to watch Curious George, but calls the movie Monkey George. The other day when he was watching it I found him sitting in Ellie's swing just enjoying the movie in comfort. It was so funny to see such a big kid in a little babies swing.

The other thing that happened this week is Colby got his haircut by Uncle Kooper. Uncle Kooper cuts his hair the best!! Colby was not to sure about cutting his hair(probably cause mommy is always telling him how she loves it long with his curls), but I wanted to cut it before summer because he gets so hot with it long. When we got home that night he could not stop saying how much he loved his hair cut short!!! Poor kid probably felt not so hot with all that long hair on his head. As much as Kenny and I love his curls it was time to get done.

One more thing, as most of you know I love to cook!! I have decided each week I am going to post my recipe of the week. It might be a family favorite or just a new one that I tried and we loved. Lot's of people ask for my recipe's so hopefully this will make it so they can get some of them. If you like a recipe and want someone else to try it you are more than welcome to tell them our blog name to find it. If I get good feed back with this I can post deserts too and If you have a request for something that you know I make or want me to post just tell me and I will be more than happy to try out the recipe and post it for that week. It will be fun for me if you guys try the recipe that week and tell me how you liked it, or if it needs something different. Plus you will have at least one idea for dinner that week. We all know how hard it is to come up with new things for dinner!! I am going to post them at the very bottom of the page by the music, so scroll down for the recipe.

TO MUCH CANDY!!!!!
This year Kenny got me a great Easter present. He got me, my first Easter dress since we have been married. For the last 6 years I tell him every Easter that I want to get a dress but never do. Kenny picked it out and everything maybe I should hire him as my stylist? Sometimes I think he is better at clothes shopping than I am.

Ellie's Blessing Day

We blessed Ellie this month and it was great. When we got to church we noticed Elder L. Tom Perry was there, so Kenny asked him to stand in the circle for the blessing. It was such an amazing and spiritual experience. It was really nice of him to be willing to bless her, and it will be cool to tell her when she gets older and can understand what a special day it was. Kenny gave her a very sweet and wonderful blessing. Ellie has been such a wonderful addition to our family. My mom took pictures of us and our families after the blessing, so I finally have one picture of me with Ellie that is not in the hospital. In some she is crying she was just so tired and wanted to take a nap but we kept taking more pictures. I told her we were just preparing her for when she gets married, which will not be until she is 25. The blessing dress Ellie is wearing is the same one I wore when I was blessed, my grandma Bauer got it for me, it is a very special dress and I can pass it down to her.

Crazy Family Life
This Sunday I (Kenny) went to church by myself without the kids and wife because they were all sick. Well I came home after Sacrament Meeting and Colby's Tonsils were large and had white patches on them. I told Tara that I needed to take him to the after hours doctors, but Colby wasn't having it. "I don't want to get a shot Daddy!" Said Colby. I assured him, even promised that there would be no shots or pain, they just needed to check his throat and give him medicine. He was still concerned...
Things were going fine, until 4 minutes after the Swab of the Tonsils, the nurse came in and said that he was "Very Positive", and the best way to treat it is with a Penicillin Shot in the bum. "Great!" I thought, Colby is never going to trust me again. So I sat him down to explain, and break the news... Well... He didn't take it like the man I had hoped he would be... he is only 4. He was devastated. We walked back to the room, a dad ashamed that he betrayed his sons trust, and a poor boy who was led, like a lamb by a Shearer to the Slaughter, except I was the shearer. I felt terrible.
Well it got funny, the nurse explained that he needed it in the bum, and so I laid him on the table and began pulling his pants down... and he FREAKED OUT! "No daddy not in the bum! do it in my arm, do it in my arm!" He was embarrassed to be showing his bum to a Woman Nurse. I couldn't stop laughing while he screamed, "Do it over my pants!!!! Noooo!"
Well he got it, and he felt violated: Violated by the nurse, and by his father who gave a solemn vow that he would not get a shot. Boy was I feeling like a crappy Father. We had a pretty good heart to heart, and I told him how sorry that I was, and that I was wrong for telling him he wasn't going to get a shot. The cutest thing happened, he looked at me holding back the sobs and said in a choked up 4 year old voice "I was wrong too dad." My heart melted and for a minute my little boy grew up a little in manhood. It was a proud day.
